AMERICAN RED CROSS

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

 

 

CPR and First Aid Classes: (All times approximate)

Adult CPR / AED - $30 (5 Hours)
For the person who only needs adult CPR training, this hands-on skills training prepares them to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. Students will also receive training in the use of Automated External Defibrillators.
Prerequisites: None
Certificate: Adult CPR valid for one year.

Adult CPR / AED and First Aid - $50 (7 Hours)
This course will train individuals and families to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to care for life-threatening emergencies, such as respiratory or cardiac problems, sudden illness or injuries to adults. First aid skills, as well as CPR skills for adults will be practiced. Students will also receive training in the use of Automated External Defibrillators.
Prerequisites: None
Certificate: Adult CPR valid for one year and First Aid valid for three years.

Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED - $50 (7 Hours)
This course will train individuals and families to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to care for life-threatening emergencies, such as respiratory or cardiac problems, sudden illness or injuries to infants, children or adults.

Certificate: Adult, Child, and Infant CPR valid for one year.

Adult/ Child/ Infant CPR and First Aid - $60 (9 Hours)
This course will train individuals and families to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to care for life-threatening emergencies, such as respiratory or cardiac problems, sudden illness or injuries to infants, children or adults. First aid skills, as well as CPR skills for infants, children and adults will be practiced.
Prerequisites: None
Certificate: Adult, Child, and Infant CPR valid for one year and First Aid valid for three years.
* Meets state requirements for safety training for foster parents.

CPR/ AED For The Professional Rescuer - $55 (7 Hours)
This course is designed to teach professional rescuers (those with a duty to respond) the skills needed to respond appropriately to respiratory and cardiac emergencies. It provides information to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies; two rescuer CPR; use of resuscitation mask and bag-valve-mask; as well as how to use the Automated External Defibrillator. For public safety personnel, athletic trainers, lifeguards, emergency response team members, first aid station members and health care professionals.
Prerequisite: None
Certificate: CPR/ AED for the Professional Rescuer valid for one year.

Standard First Aid - $25 (4 Hours)
To give individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel arrive and takes over.
Prerequisite: American Red Cross CPR/AED Certification
Certificates: First Aid valid for three years

First Aid/ CPR/ AED Lay Responder Instructor - $150 (30 Hours)
The First Aid/ CPR/ AED Lay Responder Instructor course is designed to give individuals the necessary tools to instruct an American Red Cross First Aid/ CPR/ AED course in the community or workplace. This comprehensive course includes the curriculum from Adult / Child / Infant CPR, AED, First Aid course as identified above as well as the Fundamental of Instructor Training (FIT) prerequisite class. The Instructor course will allow time for instructor candidates to practice their teaching techniques as well as demonstrate basic rescue skills.
Prerequisite: FIT
Certificates: First Aid/ CPR/ AED Instructor/ expires in 2 years unless courses are taught and/or instructor update is taken
