The American Red Cross of North Central Florida has been a symbol of strength and a promise of hope for the eight counties we serve for almost a century. We are the world’s preeminent humanitarian organization that mobilizes people to help their neighbors prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies—down the street, across the country and around the world. With eight counties, and a population approaching half a million in the area we serve, we look to the leaders in these communities to support our mission.

The American Red Cross of North Central Florida Chapter’s Community Disaster Assistance Network is made up of businesses willing to help when disasters strike our community.

In a major disaster, such as a hurricane, wildfire, or terrorist attack, Red Cross volunteers quickly mobilize to provide food, shelter, and comfort to hundreds, sometimes thousands of people. As emergency teams deploy to affected areas, behind-the-scenes volunteers work tirelessly to arrange donations of food, beverages, and basic first aid items. Resources are needed immediately and deplete rapidly.

By joining the Community Disaster Assistance Network, you can help the Red Cross respond quickly and effectively to your neighbors in need. Membership in the Network does not obligate you to donate each time we call for help with emergency supplies such as food, water, and other basic necessities. We understand that there may be times when you can offer assistance and other times when you cannot; it is our hope that you will choose to help in some way when possible.
