Volunteers comprise 96% of our workforce. From working directly with clients to providing behind-the-scenes administrative support, volunteers are involved in every Red Cross program and service. Red Cross Gators
Purpose: The Red Cross Gators is an official University of Florida student organization dedicated to local, national and international relief through a variety of projects that further the mission of the American Red Cross.
What We Do: The Red Cross Gators engage students at the University of Florida to further support and carry out the missions of the Red Cross: International Services, Disaster Services, & Service to the Armed Forces.

Are You Ready to Become a Volunteer?
Please take a moment to complete our Self-Assessment Checklist. This will help you decide if the American Red Cross is a good fit for you. Some volunteers work on a regular weekly, monthly, or quarterly schedule throughout the year, others on an as-needed basis. Many volunteers lend their support on the weekends or after a daytime job, others have greater flexibility during regular business hours. Find a position that matches your availability, skills and interests.
